Our Institutions in the Hospital Ministry


1. San Joe Hospital, Perumbavoor


"San Joe Hospital is one of the institutions to serve the people of God and witness Lord Jesus Christ through the ministry of healing and health care mission of the Sacred Heart Province of Franciscan Clarist Congregation."
For more than three decades, San Joe Hospital's roots have extended deep into the history and lives of people at Perumbavoor and its vicinity through budding of Health Care Service Clinic in a small rental house at Pulluvazhy, near Perumbavoor on July 16, 1978.  



The need based growth of the Hospital widened the scope of its operations and subsequently, in December 08th 1981 under the guidance and leadership of altruistic pioneers, the Hospital was established at its present site in Perumbavoor.  Over the next two decades, the Hospital transformed dramatically with the addition of new patient wings, surgical suites, delivery rooms and doctors' lounge.  In the decades that followed, the Hospital continually advanced the level of care and now, San Joe is being honoured as the first IMC Recognized and NABH -Safe I accredited Multi-specialty Hospital in Perumbavoor having all department like - Accident and Trauma Care Unit, General Medicine and Diabetology, Cardiology, Pediatrics, Nephrology, Urology, Opthalmology, Dermatology, E.N.T., Oncology, Gynecology & Obstetrics, General and Laparoscopic Surgery, Orthopedics and Orthopedic Surgery, Spine Surgery, Neuro Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Psychiatry under one roof.  Associated supportive units like T.M.T., Echocardiogram, Radiology, Laboratory, Blood Bank, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Centre are established in San Joe Hospital to facilitate better health care.
Beyond offering best available treatments for injury and illness, hospital has initiated wellness programs that educate people on how to avoid the need for medical care completely.  Through various partnerships, Hospital extend the healing mission beyond its doors and create greater impact in the collective health of the community of remote rural and tribal areas and people surrounding the Hospital.
Throughout history, the pioneering spirit of San Joe has never waned.  Educational institutions of San Joe Hospital are aimed at building dedicated health care professionals through Professional and Job Oriented Courses like - General Nursing & Midwifery, BSc. Nursing, MSc. Nursing, BSc. M.L.T. and B.S.S. Paramedical Courses.



2. St. Thomas Hospital, Pallipuram


Santhom Hospital, Pallipuram was started in December 27, 1967 at Cherthala, Alappuzha (Dst.) in the name of St. Thomas, the great missionary of Jesus Christ.  Hospital has departments like- Accident and Trauma Care Unit, Medicine, Paediatrics, Dermatology, Dental and Psychiatry.  Allied supportive Departments include Radiology, Pharmacy, Laboratory, etc.
St. Thomas Hospital conducts Diploma in Practical Nursing and Laboratory Technician Courses recognized by B. S. S. approved by Government of India.


3.Assisi Homeo Clinic, Aluva


In 2006 Assisi Homeo Clinic was initiated its service in Aluva under the service of Rev. Sr. Temy Tom (BHMS, MSc., MD).  She is rendering selfless service without any difference to all people from various walks of lives.  In addition to medical practice, she is providing Counselling service to the needy.


4. Santhom Dispensary and Homeo Clinic, Kidangoor

In August 11, 2011 under the service of Rev. Sr. Temy Tom (BHMS, MSc., MD).


Extent of Health Care Mission...


The nun-sisters of F.C.C. render their selfless service of healing ministry in various Christian Mission hospitals in domestic and abroad (international).
Domestic Hospitals include  :-Lisie Hospital, Ernakulam and Little Flower Institute of Medical Science and Research, Angamaly, Delhi, etc.
Prominent countries where nun-sisters extend their selfless services includes:- Germany, Italy and Africa.
